Things that take me outside of myself into a state of serenity:
Sunshine.
Sunshine.
Puppies.
Music.
Yoga.
Skating.
Being at the top of a mountain.
Showering with the sun beaming through the window.
Sitting in the passenger seat of a moving vehicle, looking out the window, listening to great music, with the sun shining on me.
Doing laundry.
Watching the sunsets in France.
Dancing to Van Morrison with my boyfriend in the apartment.
Watching the sunsets in France.
Dancing to Van Morrison with my boyfriend in the apartment.
Waking up with the sun and feeling well-rested.
Talking on video chat with my grandparents.
Dancing at home by myself with the music blaring.
Watching nature...squirrels in particular.
Galloping on a horse in a seemingly endless field.
Horse trail-rides.
Being able to see the stars in a clear sky.
Watching the wind.
In these moments I am completely accepting of the universe.

Take a gander at this video and you might start to understand that we all need to break out of the habit of thinking IF we "Get..." THEN we can "Do..." so that we can "Be HAPPY"
[It's kind of long, about 20mins, but stick it out, it's a great talk.]
If you just want a quick idea of what it's about fast-forward to about 7:20 and watch until 9:00

Love this and feel the same way about a lot of your simple pleasures :) i love the moments when i am completely in awe of being a human, living on this planet. They are the peaks of life. :)
